Today is Thanksgiving so I thought I’d dedicate a blog post to a few things I’m thankful for.
My mom for being such a great shoulder to lean on. I’m pretty independent and, most of the time, I say to myself ‘I can handle it on my own’ because I don’t ever want to feel like I’m a burden to anyone. My mom knows when I can handle it own my own but she also knows when I need a hug and someone to tell me everything is going to be okay. I usually fight off the hug, but she’ll persist until I realize a hug is the exact thing I needed. Thanks mom!
My dad for enduring years of severe chronic pain and still surviving. I cannot even begin being in his shoes and having to live a life with pain 24 hours a day, every day. My father, even at his weakest, is always the epitome of strength to me. It’s hard to see him this way but it’s also a lesson to me that we’re always a lot stronger than we think we are.
All my women friends. Every single one of you are incredible. Women supporting women is a very powerful statement. Some of you are single moms; some of you are working hard for your family; some of you are single and taking care of your elderly parents; some of you are married and just enjoying being a team of 2 with your partner, some of you are single and simply living your best life out in the world on your own. I don’t care what you do, or what has happened in your past, know you are incredible and that there’s something in each and every one of you that I totally admire.
I’m grateful for social media for helping me keep connected to family and friends. Some of you are an ocean away but, every day, I see you and I’m thankful I can be a part of your lives.
I’m grateful for the gifts that travelling have given me. It’s helped me experience new things and meet amazing people. I’m so glad that I’ve made this a priority in my life.
I’m grateful for my blog! I’m having a great time exploring my creativity here!
I don’t know if I have too many readers or followers here but, if you are here I’m grateful for you! Thanks for being on this journey with me!
